Gold Award for Large-Format-Dimensions!
The Color Gruppe Munich wins gold as the calendar printer of the year 2008
(Druck & Medien Award- calendar printer of the year)
The jury took its job again this year very seriously. Only 169 entries had to be examined. Nominated were 73 companies from all regions of Germany in the race for the 25 trophies.
These guests included representatives from the supply and manufacturing industry, entrepreneurs, printers, and media services provider. The award ceremony was hosted by the German TV presenter Ruth Moschner.
About 300 guests attended on November 6th 2008 the award gala at the Grand Hyatt in Berlin. "Each year, new and outstanding companies introduce themselves who have deserved to be nominated" says jury member Manfred Harriehausen (TUI). "This year the competition was fierce, and the choice is particularly difficult in some categories. Companies that have managed to get a nomination on the shortlist can be sure that they have already left a lot of other good companies in competition far behind."
The Management of Color Gruppe Munich, Wolfgang Huber and Peter Wagstyl were delighted with this award. The Color Press GmbH submitted a set of highly outstanding works: calendar prints, which sets new standards in the areas of design and quality.

The Large-Format-Calendar by Giesecke & Devrient, in the format 130 × 130 cm, printed on canvas, inkjet printing, and development of custom print profiles for a perfect ink job.
The Color Group Munich supported the client in advice and realized not only the entire print job to the exclusive customer gift by Giesecke & Devrient. They were also responsible for the anodized aluminum suspension system with engraving as well as for special packaging for worldwide shipping.
