From the foundation until today - the history of Color-Gruppe
The core business started on 12/01/1975, by founding a printing company called "Color Offset GmbH". High expertise, entrepreneurial ambition, modern printing machines and five employees were the solid start-up capital for the beginning of a successful family business. With the courage to growth and an optimistic vision for the future the property in the Geretsrieder Road 10 in Munich was purchased and in the years from 1982-1984 a modern printing plant was built with a variety of versatile development potentialities.
With a machinery park, enhanced by modern "Heidelberger" technology, other innovative printing technologies and an ongoing increase of the personnel, printing operations developed continuously. The transformation from a classical printer into a full-service partner began with the foundation of the "Color Falz GmbH" (1990), the "Color Medienservice GmbH" (1998) and the "Color Press GmbH" (1998). These four independent companies offer, in different fields of competence, an effective print communication for their customers. The Color Group gained in profile by own patent applications and innovative process patents in the "High Quality" offset print sector. In 2001 an in-house generational change occurred, coupled with an organizational restructuring process, when Wolfgang Huber and Peter Wagstyl were taking over the management and the shares.
Today the Color Group, with all about 100 employees, represents itself as a modern and perfectly equipped printing services company certified by the latest standards. "Perfection in print" and economic efficiency is therefore not only made worthwhile but is also made reachable.
